Since Switzerland is a landlocked country the government marks the fastest way to the next coastline at every intersection.
Notifies the presence of the grey circle you see in front, that can sometimes get hidden under dirt or something. I think it’s the location of a post, removed in summer, to signal the end of the road in winter when it snows.
