No to put down the awful event, but these feel like shanty towns that for been there for well over a year appearing around Dublin.

How much longer is it acceptable they stay there?

Don’t worry those who did it probably filmed or livestreamed themselves doing it and the gards will do nothing

      Edit: ”Lovestream” to ”Livestream”

Imagine seeing someone with next to nothing sleeping in a tent and deciding to steal from them, not for your own gain either but simply to take what little comfort they have from them.

      Utter fucking scumbags.

Already spent 400 million this year on IPAS accommodation.

Crazy some are still in tents. Awful to slash them.

Whether you agree or disagree with them being here how the fuck does this help. Poor fella with a slashed tent now.

“17 men sleeping in tents on the banks of the Grand Canal the previous evening, and the camp had been tidied away the following morning.”

If the camp was tidied away the following morning then how did they slash the tents and steal the sleeping bags?

Should have never been allowed to set up tents along the canal it’s a joke

There’s a tent opposite the Pearse St Garda station that has the roof caved in and full of litter for weeks now, and of course the City Council will do nothing about it. Sure this will all sort itself.

Ah the ‘local’ patrol keeping the wimen and lil babbies safe from… tents and sleeping bags. Yeah, feel safer already.

People have their tents slashed and there’s folk in here talking about “Why were they there in the first place 😡”. You Actually need to get a grip.

Groups of unvetted military aged Chaps walking around with sharp objects, slashing things to protect children is really making Ireland safer.
