Make Svalbard Great Again!
Oh, the very intriguing and little-known place I have been to a couple of times and fallen in love with and where my username has also been inspired. If I found a source of income there and it didn’t affect my EU residency counter (It’s neither in the EU/EEA, nor in the Schengen area, nor in NATO) I would consider living in Longyearbyen.
However Svalbard has three major problems:
– There are two Russian settlements: Barentsburg, the actively inhabited one, and Pyramiden, an abandoned town inhabited only by tourism staff.
– I am afraid it has the potential to be one of Trump’s targets.
– No cats. This is the holy stink because I am a cat person. 🙁
