She‘s horrendous, although next to my dad was a bus driver I’m not sure which is worse .
I think people are going to smoke cannabis anyway and it’s stupid not to tax it.
This is honestly about the worst approach they could take. They know they can’t deny they’ve used it so they wink at the camera, but they’re gonna persecute people who use it regardless. Just makes them look like wankers.
I’m not British – I keep up with y’all’s news because I’m coming over to study soon (and I have people very close to me that are British that I’ll be joining soon.)
The fact these goblins won’t legalize cannabis when there’s all this talk about cutting benefits because of a budget shortfall is so fucking stupid.
Here in America there are some states where when alcohol was legalized, they followed the “progressive” model at the time (I.E. the way Canada did it) and created state run liquor stores that still exist today. Even the Republicans can’t privatize them because of how much revenue they bring in to the state budget. They just try to underfund and starve them out to set them up for privatization but it never works. I know this cause I worked at one.
If the British government legalized cannabis they’d have an additional 2.5 billion pounds of revenue a year they could tax. If they nationalized the sale like the liquor stores in some places here do, that’s 2.5 billion pounds of revenue for the state not factoring in labor and production costs.
I’m begging y’all, write your MPs and tell them quit being punk bitches and legalize cannabis before Reform comes in and fucks y’all country up the way Trump fucked up mine.
She should accept criminal prosecutions and sentences for all of the sorts that she had taken then. Don’t support a policy unless you’re happy for it to be applied to you too.

Yess I agree, we should continue the war on drugs. Even if it was lost a long time ago, its more important that we empower drug gangs by keeping it on the black market.

But it’s already legal for medical patients… she does not even know the law of the uk.
The people who currently do smoke loads of weed on the street are not a good advertisement for legalising it.

Meanwhile alcohol costs us tens of billions a year, puts pressure on the NHS and police, and is completely legal and socially acceptable.

It will never happen here, if you have a state provided healthcare system one of the downsides is that it becomes in the states interest to keep you healthy so you don’t use it.
US will tell them to do it, and accept US export of canabis and they will bend the knee
