Much better walking along the tracks than melting inside a boiling sweaty carriage.
I’m sure no one was ‘forced’ – I’m sure they were glad to be out of the train and understood the requirement to pass along the tracks.
People forced to walk! What is this country coming to? Surely each should have been carried by a dedicated member of the emergency services?!?
As opposed to what, being heli lifted?
Yeah it obviously sucks but what else do you do in that scenario?
*Another user wrote to Thameslink: “You will have hell to pay. We’ve been stuck on this hot and humid train for over an hour.”*
Interested in seeing what this individual has in store for Thameslink.

“Newspaper requires outrage farming to sustain outdated media company – tries to present non-event as trauma inducing dereliction of duty”
* Fixed their headline…
What an absolute tragedy! I have to wonder whether these poor souls would ordinarily have flexed their feet.
Almost like evacuations aren’t always convenient and comfortable.
It wasn’t in Surrey though so wasnt 33. Elderly and disabled people should have been helped. If normal people can’t walk anywhere, pathetic, if they don’t sort themselves out to have basic fitness it’ll catch up with them.
Edit – oops I mixed it up with the more famous Loughborough – oops, sorry
Rail in this country is an utter disgrace. From top to bottom, everyone associated with them should be ashamed of the service they provide.
From the article I thought it must have been underground and in the dark so yeah, not the smartest move to get out and go blundering onto live tracks. But this was out in the open, in broad daylight. You could have left at any time.
Humans walk, this is a poor attempt at clickbait lol
