Of course it is unsustainable, the scheme that was cooked up screamed temporary fix. The real problem as with many things affecting Ireland is done to housing. Too difficult and expensive to build in Ireland and no long term thinking on what to do with urban areas.

Instead of continuing to waste billions on accommodation, why don’t they implement measures to deter these people from even arriving on our shores? Denmark gets c3k applications a year. Sweden have changed their policies recently and are seeing net negative immigration these days.
What’s the difference between a far right talking point and sensible, empirical policy wonkery? Seems like the answer is 6 months.
