This was such a great video, it sheds light on crypto Armenians, but rather those who know they are Armenians and are actively actively looking to get back being one, outside of religion.

There are photos and videos throughout the video of the Muslim Armenian community that have emerged recently in Syria. It is unfortunate that so many of us are ignorant that we have Armenians outside of Christianity, it is especially blind in our diaspora Armenians.

The guest talks about how these Muslimized Armenians are actually putting effort to learn western Armenian, and have even approached the Armenian church where they have been declined and told they’re not Armenian. It’s really disappointing. It’s sad to see them being unheard and ignored.

Imo not only should we engage and accept them as they are, if we were a tiny bit smart in lobbying, these people are a major asset to Armenia as a nation to find doors in Muslim communities and to engage in breaking disinformation or misinformation throughout Muslims with facts, and maybe even a path to create further links in economical activities, or even lobbying.

We have so many assets in our diaspora, Hamshen Armenians can influence Turks, Muslim Armenians can influence Muslims, ME Armenians can create ties, American, European Armenians etc. If all of them were to cooperate with Armenia and work like how aipac does for Israel, we could have great things.

As for gatekeepers of the Armenian identity with religion, saying it now, fuck you.
