The man, who has not been named but has a criminal record in the UK for sexual assault offenses, has in addition to his charges also been named as an assisted witness – a step before being indicted – in a probe into suspected corruption of a minor, prosecutors said.
The incident initially caused grave alarm when staff alerted police that it could have concerned an illegal child marriage, with the purported “bride” a nine-year-old Ukrainian girl. The British man played “the role of the groom after being professionally made up to display a face completely different from his own,” prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
French judicial authorities were informed by their British counterparts that the man “has been convicted in the past, notably for sexual offenses against minors,” he added on Tuesday. The man is currently wanted by British authorities for failing to comply with his obligations as a registered sex offender.

They are the ones who immediately realized something fishy was going on and called in the police.
Anyone can privatize the park outside of normal hours to stage events, ceremonies, etc., but here the management of the park immediately picked up on the fact that this was off and alerted the police.

This is such a bizarre story. Its has been confirmed to be staged yet the other details are so weird. Apparently it is some sort of film or advertisement or something along those lines. The people involved said as much but the whole thing is just so weird. Apparently as well they hired hundreds of extras as well. I mean based in his history i assumed he was just noncing it up but after finding out these other details I’m even more confused than before. Seems like a lot of publicity for a nonce marrying a 9 year old. You would assume you wouldn’t advertise that shit. I genuinely Dont know what the truth is and isn’t at this point.
