I could be wrong about this, but could it be, based on recent polling post-Le Pen conviction, that Bardella isn’t as exciting for his far right voting base like she was? Or maybe Le Pen has a broader appeal than Bardella does ie younger women?

This is exactly why there are a lot of people who want a change of system to something that is not presidential. We hear little about what is actually being discussed or voted in the parliament because all we hear about is who is doing what to become the next president, in TWO FUCKING YEARS. At this point, it’s pretty much the same as if the media was locked in a perpetual “who would win in a fight between racist Goku and corrupt Saitama?”
He would be one of the youngest leaders in French history. In the U.S., you cannot even run for president until you turn 35. Regardless of one’s political views, this is pretty exciting for the younger generation, considering that a young millennial could be in charge of the EU’s second-biggest economy and only nuclear power.
And then waves to the protégé from the prison…
