    1. Members of the Green and Left parties made a statement by wearing clothes in the colors of the rainbow flag, after the Bundestag, citing “political neutrality,” had decided not to take part in demonstrations like Berlin’s CSD and will only raise the rainbow flag once a year—on May 17. Critics call the reasoning confusing and wrong, seeing it as a step back for LGBTQ+ visibility. The decision was made by Bundestag President Julia Klöckner (CDU).

They’ve got too much time on their hands. And i totally support the pride flag ban, parliament is no place for daily circus, i mean whats next? Demand from Pastafarians to hang their flag as well?

Good to see German politicians deal with the issues that really matter.

Creative, but some of them need a wardrobe upgrade. Some of those tones are terrible!

      Stop spreading lies.

There is no “LGTB flag ban”

The flag is just not flown on top of the Reichstag at official flag poles this year during pride parade.

One relevant factor regarding the ban is that the pride flag is still used by the parliament at International Day Against Homo-, Bi-, Inter- and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) as it was all time. But the former more progressive coalition between 2021 and 2024 decided to also flag the pride flag during the Christopher street demonstration of the local CSD Berlin group. The current, more conservative government returns to the previous governmental practice of using the pride flag at the official day only.
