I don’t see myself watching actual TV like my parents do when I move out TBH. Can’t remember the last time I did. I get my news off the internet, you can always watch the news on YouTube, and just the variety of Netflix etc.

I still find it so messed up that you have to prove someone guilty of any crime EXCEPT the TV license where you have to prove your innocence. Constant threatening letters, random visits from random people. In the eyes of the BBC everyone is guilty of not buying a TV license until proven otherwise.

      Creepy AF.

Remember to make sure you are not email only. Make sure they are wasting money sending paper mail that you instantly bin.

Wait, so watching a twitch livestream would fall under this as well?

I got a visit from someone. Showed them my tv without an aerial in it, connected only to a console. They left. Not heard from them since. This was 3 years ago.

TV licence is basically just another tax and to pay people way to ouch money for what they do

I don’t watch anything on BBC or Iplayer and there’s absolutely no reason I should have to pay for watching something live that has absolutely nothing to do with them.

Such a backwards ass thing and it’s probably only a matter of time until they try and take it straight out of your pay

      “Are you Mr/Mrs xxxx”

      “No”

Also remember that you don’t have to provide your name or contact details when filling in the online form about not needing a license. They want you to provide it but it isn’t an actual requirement.

You can if you really want, send a letter to specifically stating you withdraw their and all those contracted to enforce licensing on their belt common law right of access to your property, meaning they can’t send their people to your door anymore. They can of course obtain a warrant but they would actually have to have grounds to apply for one.

Nothing beats having to pay a tax to the BBC to watch your taxed sky package on your taxed tv that you spent your hard earned taxed income on. Vultures.
