Why wouuld the size matter if they were doing the right thing. I’m sure anti-nazi protests were also quite small in nazi germany.

For the people wondering, that flag with white and red stripes is not any form of US flag, it’s a historical Hungarian flag, if I remember correctly connected to some medieval king.

Despite the bottomfeeder blackshirts ruining the view, that is some seriously beautiful landscape.

I wouldn’t rejoice quite yet. The mockery of TACO’s rallies is still fresh in the memory. These rallies probably include neonazi elements that most people still feel queasy about, and the anti-pride demographics are just less inclined at getting out in the street. But they are still there, and they are voting

Just a reminder: Fidesz argued the reason to ban the Budapest Pride was that they shouldn’t close down a bridge and potentially paralize traffic for “a couple of people”.

The above shown anti-demonstration got the greenlight for some reason. /s

What is the flag on the car behind the man waving the Hungarian flag?

It is not shown here, but these guys brought a banner proclaiming that they are Spartans. Well, look who did not pay attention in history class?

Their slogan is stop LMBTQP- where P means pedophilia. The biggest crime of Hungarian neo-Nazis is that they label LMBTQ people as pedophiles. The current Fidesz leaders are being caught one after another with pedophilia, child abuse, forcing girls living in children’s homes into prostitution or homosexual exploitation of underage boys. Most of these people work in child protection and all have close ties to the political elite.

*Larp as Spartans, blocking a narrow chokehold Pride was planned to pass through

*Get defeated exactly like the Spartans did, Pride just went around them on another bridge

They fell for the 300 meme. Way to import foreign Hollywood ideas into Hungary btw

It’s funny because thanks to their little protest, the Pride march was diverted to Erzsébet bridge where the size of the crowd seemed even more impressive. Not to mention that many people were able to take some glorious photos of the event from Gellért hill

What a weird thing to protest against, I don’t really understand it tbh, and Im not exactly what you would call a lefty. Hardly like pride means you have to be gay too, just let people live their lives like, there’s much bigger issues imo anyway

Does this mean there is an overwhelming majority of non-straight population in Hungary ?
