Tell me you’re totally out of touch without telling me
I’m fine with this as long as when they attend parliament they have their sponsors and corporate donors sewed into their suits like F1 drivers.
Every now and then, I wish Labour would just stop shooting themselves in the foot.
Starmer needs to go, and Labour need to sort out their whips, or we’ll end up with Farage and Reform.
I can’t wait to see when labour goes back in opposition it will be beautiful
I don’t want to get political and I won’t declare whether or not I support reform, but this is why reform is so popular. Their members are going into pubs and asking the clientele when the last time their MP visited, and the answer is always “never”. Reform is playing the populist game and filling the void involving social interaction and a connection to voters that the big parties left a long time ago. Labour and Tories think they can coast by on TV interviews, news and radio shows, putting pamphlets through people’s letterboxes during election season and calling it a day. But, they’re very enthusiastic about going to private events and parties with sponsors and the upper class, or breaking their own rules during lockdown. Yet we’re led to believe that these people “talk to their constituents” and are apparently aware of what problems they face? How out of touch can you get. This is why people refuse to vote, and why reform is providing a cure-all snake-oil for those kinds of people who have lost all hope in the government ever caring about them.
So no change from the previous lot then, sadly 😔 more of the same, just disguised differently.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s critically important for our government, to connect with business and people and a lot of this is done in unsocial hours, but be open about it and why it needs to be done – declare it – be open and honest
“Guys, stop making it so obvious! The plebs are catching on!”
