In questo giorno, 2 luglio 2005-La Spagna è diventata il terzo paese al mondo a legalizzare il matrimonio tra persone dello stesso sesso. La legge è stata approvata dal parlamento spagnolo con un forte sostegno e ha segnato un grande passo avanti per i diritti LGBTQ+ in Europa. damn, that was 15 years ago and same-sex marriage is not even close to being legalized in my shithole country.

    2. Same-Sex Marriage good,  adoption rights bad.

Say what you will, but I wouldn’t want kids to be adopted and raised like that. I think that goes too far.

    3. It’s incredible considering they were the last fascist country in Europe

I’ll probably need to move out from Poland, nothing seems like we’re getting rights here

I remember this. People were ok with marriage, but not with same-sex families having kids. 20 years later I guess they were wrong.

Few things are as embarrassing as Italy still not allowing same sex marriage, in 2025

Man, the 00s really felt like progress was inevitable.

People were becoming more tolerant. More and more countries were adopting progressive laws. The far-right was barely a concern in most of Europe. Democracy was mostly expanding all around the world. Large-scale peer or near-peer wars seemed like a thing of the past.

Fast-forward 2025, and you can literally say the exact opposite for every single statement mentioned above. I’m not naturally a doomer, but I can pretty objectively say that humanity is definitely going in the wrong direction.

Adoption rights? There is no right to adoption for anyone. It is an extremely rare phenomenon. You can be reufsed for countless reasons

I remember that day. I was 12, and it was the day I learned that same sex marriage was illegal. I never even considered it could be illegal, it just didn’t make any sense to me.
