Tracks with the opinion of most LGBTQ+ people I know.
Not at all surprising given the slow polarizing shift and increasing economic uncertainty, but sorry to see fears confirmed.
Disappointing but not surprising.
It would be nice to have a link to the report. The link in the article is inexplicably the file path on someone’s (who is not the author) computer.
Leftists advocating for an LGBT and feminist utopia while simultaneously advocating for the mass importation of men from nations were LGBT people and women have no rights will never not be funny
This has been my experience as a trans woman
One of the least surprising things to find out.
Ever since COVID, there’s been a shift.
Before it, it was social suicide for a younger person to be openly anti-LGBT. Sadly, this isn’t now always the case.
So – I’m a trans woman working in the civil service and I’m part of the LGBT network. Lately it’s come to my attention that some of our staff are now even getting online harassment for having something as benign as a rainbow flag in their email signature.
It goes way beyond the pushback against trans people, it’s the whole acronym people have a problem with. People are not pushing back as hard against this type of bigotry as they need to be. We’re a long way from the general spirit of positivity and allyship we saw in the referendum.
