yeah and that 30% are all pensioners, bitter they weren’t be catered to for a change.

    2. No-Strike-4560 on

So seven in ten don’t .

Really not bad at all considering all the hate wank in the media.

    3. No-Championship9542 on

The British public is basically Jean Ralphios sister, “MONEY PLEASE!”

    4. Amazing how people can put up with all that shit the tories did for over a decade but this is the result after a year

    5. CrabPurple7224 on

I can’t believe they managed to survey the entire population… or do they mean the 3 out of 10 people they asked said it?

Does anyone remember journalism when it was serious?

    6. Tweedieman on

As low as that? But then again who else was there to vote for

    7. GoochBlender on

3 in 10 voters? Didn’t labour only get 30% of the vote anyway?

Edit: They mean labour voters. Misleading headline.

    8. BounceBurnBuff on

DIfferent proposed answer: I don’t regret voting for them, I regret that there was *literally no better option with a realistic chance of getting the Torries out.*

Regreting the former would imply that I think there were better options at the time. As we’re learning, all the options just suck in mildly different ways.

    9. Leibstandarte2 on

Tough. They voted for these scum. If anyone thinks voting works, reviewing the political scene of UK should disavow them of this fallacy.

PS same for USA and probably all Western so called democracies. and if a party comes along which is not to the rulers liking they ban it or use lawfare to get at the leader. Remember Greece?

    10. Immorals1 on

Labours doing fine, they just have a massive messaging issue. Not helped at all by the right wing media.

Not perfect by any means, but better than the shower of shit we had for the previous 14 years and much better than any of the alternatives on offer.

    11. commotionsickness on

That’s a 2900–5900% higher regret rate than gender affirming surgeries

    12. Commercial_Chef_1569 on

I regret voting for them massively as several decisions have worked against me.

I’m £10k more in stamp duty

I now have to wait for 5 more years for ILR (it’s being moved from 5 to 10)

Their stupid NI raise and lack of any foresight into how our economy works has caused massive jump in unemployment

We have reduced GPD projections massively in one year.

    13. WinningTheSpaceRace on

Clearly because they’re too dim-witted to understand that, had they not voted Labour, we’d have *another* Tory government in power.

    14. icallbullshitonyo on

3 in 10 voters regret voting anti tories instead of trying to understand what problems need fixing. That’s what the headlines should say.

Now they will vote reform because tories and labour failed. And things will be even worse.

    15. Crumpetlust on

The other seven were released from prison on labours let out scheme. That didn’t work out well either did it. At least labour have been consistent in failures

    16. Automatic_Sun_5554 on

They only won 3.7 of each 10 votes cast in the first place!

    17. kahnindustries on

Have they considered doing something that their voters like? Its almost as if since day 1 they have been deliberately choosing the least popular path.

I voted Labour, I have not had a single positive improvement to my life from their government, and infact I am worse off in many areas

    18. Quat-fro on

Certainly from a trans perspective, thoroughly thrown under the bus, having been so vociferously supported while in opposition.

Or at least that’s what I thought, then it appears that Kier never cared and just used Brianna Ghey’s murder as a stick to beat Sunak with.

This makes him an absolute Berkshire Hunt and I will absolutely be voting green or yellow next time, maybe even Plaid Cymru.

      Labour can F right off.

    19. UKSaint93 on

We’re in danger of going fully 1930s france and just chopping and changing every possible moment. Which I’m sure is exactly what will get the economy moving and houses built.

    20. AugustineBlackwater on

Things like this irk me a lot:

3 in 10 is 30% of Labour voters regret their decision.

That means 70% are undecided or don’t regret it.

    21. knobber_jobbler on

So quick people are to forget about 14 years of Tory psychodrama, the catastrophic disaster that was Brexit, party gate, lying to parliament several times over etc.

    22. kasim_of_all_trades on

Another day, another poll. It’s feels like the daily bowel movement, to put it nicely. What a joke this country has become!

    23. James_White21 on

So 70% of voters have no regrets about voting Labour. Pretty impressive.

    24. Basileus2 on

Who else you gonna back? The party that got us into this mess to begin with? Or the party of exiles too radical for them? lol

    25. Luke_4686 on

So 7/10, otherwise known as the majority, don’t regret it. But that isn’t a good headline is it

    26. froschsaft on

surprised it’s that low. starmer has been such a disaster. it will undoubtedly rise as things get worse over the next few years.

    27. AdStreet2795 on

I don’t regret voting for them. I regret that there was no one better to vote for.

    28. ArcticAlmond on

Labour have been absolutely shocking since they came into power. I’m genuinely surprised that it’s as low as 3/10.

    29. ShowerEmbarrassed512 on

I think if you looked at any majority party you’d find at least 3 in 10 voters have regret

    30. Dull_World4255 on

I cannot believe there are people on here saying that the older generation are ‘entitled’?!!!
There’s even one comment I’ve seen where someone is moaning about their own parent! The same parent that’s probably provided everything for they entitled and ungrateful brat.

I’m 45, earn the national average wage, come from a one parent family and currently have my mother living with me due to illness and financial circumstances, but still, I don’t begrudge those who have worked hard, saved, sacrificed and provided for their future.

The only entitled elements of society I can see are the younger generation who seem to think everything should come easily and that no effort is required on their part. Then there’s the ‘can’t be bothered’. You know, the ones with the ‘bad backs’ and other made-up ailments who can’t wait for benefit day so they can get to the either the bookies, Gregg’, the pub or all of the above.

    31. >More than a third of respondents (37%) ranked the decision to withdraw the Winter Fuel Allowance from more than 10 million pensioners as the biggest mistake the government has made in its first 12 months.

I’m perplexed, because the government u-turned on that. So are they annoyed that they didn’t do it or annoyed that they were going to?
