La Senna riaprirà al nuoto pubblico per la prima volta in un secolo

I don’t understand: wasn’t already open in a few sections years ago, when there was “Paris Plage”? I remember “pools” made inside the Seine.

Also every year there is the triathlon and duathlon where people who participate have to swim in the Seine. Isn’t that public swimming as well?

Anyway, I remember reading that every time someone took a dive in it, had some skin problems later. They say now it has “water quality results consistently in line with European regulations” but I’m distrustful and I would still be very careful before entering that water.
