very *slight* headline editorialisation to include ‘coal stockpiles’, otherwise readers might think the ports are flooded with water.

Well, that’s another 150,000 jobs about to vanish in Russia, and another large source of international revenue collapsing.

    3. Keeping coal in stockpiles is no easy job. If it rains, you must mix it otherwise it will autocombust. You really don’t want couple of million tons of coal burning, you really don’t want that.

I don’t want to give anyone any ideas… but what would happen if something would set this pile of coal on fire? maybe with a drone or something ….

Doesn’t China need coal I thought they imported from Australia

Lets just hope for a classic incompetence by just leaving the piles untouched for a while 😀

I don’t understand that the taxes are not moving the land or height of the debt roof is moving atrociously?

      Who wants coal anymore?
Every major consumer is switching to alternatives – either renewables or even gas.
And the remaining demand is covered already internally or by other sellers in smaller amounts.

Nothing, war or not, will save Russian coal industry.
