Hard to be healthy when it just makes you more aware of how fucked you are
Last week we had a Government Minister on national radio argue against health warning labels for alcohol because it could be bad for the Irish economy.
These hypocrites were happy enough to push for cigarette warning labels (rightly so) but not now that it’s something we produce.
Quit drinking about 15 years ago, not specifically for health reasons and quit smoking about 8/9 years ago. They kind of go hand in hand. Not sure my quality of life is better or that I’ve extended my longevity but if I could give stress up as easily I’d probably live forever.
How is that possible?
Everyone knows alcohol is bad for health overall.
Cancer can be a consequence of bad things for your body.
Add one to the other… Gosh, are people that hopeless?
Then again, it does depend on how much how often and what.
We’ll go for one shur….
How about the myriad risks with cocaine use? That’s very popular now. I wonder why.
To be honest, the list of negative effects of alcohol is long enough that adding cancer to that will barely register with people.
Ah well, life is miserable enough I wouldn’t be too keen on taking my one way to unwind and relax out of the equation.
The relative risk compared to tobacco use is a bottle of wine = 5 cigarettes for a man (or 10 for a woman).
I used to smoke 20 a day, so I’d need to drink 4 bottles of wine a day, every day, for the same effect.
I’d say my liver will give up long before the cancer got me.
I know a lad.. never drank, smoked or did drugs, big into his fitness.. at 35 had a stroke.. thankfully he is okay.. discovered that something in his DNA he is prone to getting these..
Told me.. what’s the point.. took up drinking.. he just enjoys the few here and there..
Cancer is on the rise rapidly and I would say if you want to avoid being a victim in your life time then start listening to the doctors in the back round , top doctors screaming from the rooftops who are curing people but saying the wrong things so get no coverage . Listen to them and give them a chance , they all say the same thing as far back as u can find information on it . They give Proper explanations .
Dr Lenord coldwell , dr Eric berg , dr Robert morse , dr Franco Lena and Paul chek would be a good place to start . Also a good YouTube page is ihealthtube (select oldest and it pulls up interview clips from 16 years ago) There are many others but I don’t know names .
What is there to loose by listening and potentially preventing yourself some heartache down the line . The fact they all say similar if not the same thing on what cancer and tumours actually are going back to 70s and beyond can’t be coincidence, and as we all surely know , chemo and treatment is a multi billion dollar gig . So take the time to give alternative views a chance as currently with the trajectory we are on the majority in this sub will get cancer . Most people have no idea what lymph nodes or fluid is and how to get it moving . Most ppl have no idea what a spleen or liver or kidney does , adrenal gland’s etc . By the time you have lumps all over u it’s too late .
There is people out there genuinely trying to help educate humanity on how the human body works but they are silenced so it’s up to the individual to seek out the information.
Nobody seems to want to believe anything anymore unless the Tv or newspaper say it or it’s on social pages with millions of followers . IMO you need to root through the internets archives to really find out and aim for small pages that repost old footage and have low followers because they fly under the radar and don’t get removed . Just because it’s on YouTube or whatever doesn’t make it any less true than if it was on mainstream Tv or in your GPs office
These studies are designed to get the result they want. Everybody knows that alcohol is bad for you. Not everyone has the formal education to characterize it correctly. Some people get tripped up by confusing multiple choice questions.
The same study says that 3/10 don’t know that smoking causes cancer. Come off it. Everybody knows that by now. Most likely 3 out of 10 were confused by a badly-worded question or trick multiple choice.
Thinking about carcinogens and carcinogenicity in a way that leads you to useful conclusions requires understanding way too many separate things for most people, and without understanding those things, “common sense” makes it all seem like nonsense. It’s much easier just to filter it all out
If they introduced plain packaging and health labels and simultaneously got rid of mup and reduced excise, that’d be sound.
I honestly don’t care. If you’re dumb enough to not realise alcohol is very bad for you it might be better off for everyone if you die earlier.
