In less than a hundred years, the U.K. has lost 80% of its brown hare population. I’d urge all our rural Redditor’s to report any suspected hare coursing to their local police wildlife officers. Lancs police have a great reputation for bringing these scumbags to justice.
Surprising but encouraging that they actually convicted him of this. This seems like a crime that could easily be swept under a rug as it’s probably a lot of effort.
No time for hare courses but 1000s of hares are shot every year and left injured dead or dying in the fields
