The government reviewed and passed the proposal for Bundle 3 of 486 social homes under a partnership model.
The builder (JJ Rhatigan) then doubled the price.
The Government sensibly told them to fuck off.
The unaffordable affordable homes. The builder wants his taxpayers money god love him.
Has anybody noticed that every time we have these massive overruns there is a private sector contractor in the middle of it?
I said it before and i will say it again – we need a state-owned or semi-state construction company for all of these projects
I’m almost startled to find myself actually agreeing eith the government in a housing related issue here. Buddy saw what was happening with CHI and the desperation in housing right now, and figured he could get his own extra chunk of the public purse on top of what had been offered too.
