FINALLY some sensible policy! Is the end of the world nigh?
And how those countries should do that? Even in the unlikely case that they will really try. If their governments were good in anything other than in stealing money to enrich themselves, their citizens wouldn’t want to run away to begin with.
It‘s high time to do this. Also countries like South Africa that support Russia should not get any aid from the EU.
I am concerned that they will replace EU money with China money.
So the West and its croporations exploit Africa on every level, fuel ethnic conflicts and wars, create crises that turn people with homes into refugees and now our solution to the problems we caused ourselves (aka people fleeing that continent) is this? A little cashback from the money we gained from exploiting the resources that huge ass continent? To keep up our standards of living and keep black and brown folks out of Europe?
We are truly back to the 1800s. So much to ‚humanity‘ and ‚morality‘. The continent of the enlightenment. How far we‘ve fallen.
How about changing asylum laws EU-wide to a fixed contingent.
We need to control our borders ourselves.
If we depend upon others we will always be vulnerable to extortion.

Try one tiny step at a time. Wait 5 years. See it doesn’t work. Take next tiny step. Wait 5 years. See it doesn’t work. Take next tiny step. Repeat endlessly while you watch illegal migrants stream into Europe for decades.
Great leadership.
Change the law to stop all asylum claims for economic migrants, allowing you to treat them as the illegal border-crossings they are. Ban all travel from countries who refuse to take back their migrants. Anything else is pointless window-dressing designed to deceive and placate voters.
