Il creatore di Minecraft Markus “Notch” Persson ha sostenuto la campagna Stop Killing Games. Critica le licenze di gioco digitale. Ha sostenuto che se i giocatori non possiedono veramente giochi, allora la pirateria non è un furto.

It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

He is right. But knowing his background…bro literally sold his game to Microsoft. Basically Microsoft’s accession of Minecraft(Mojang) started a huge campaign of giant investors buying small studios and use them to milk profits. Its bold to shame him for something he didnt do directly, but he played a role in ruining gaming industry.
He’s also racist and transphobic.
I mean the whole piracy is theft thing has been bs from the start. Copyright infringement isn’t theft, and certainly in UK law it remains a civil issue (unless you try to resell it as the real thing when it becomes fraud and criminal)
I wonder if there’s courts might have to take an issue on what you’re actually getting when you purchase a game? Whether you need to make it clear that it can only be played online, and that the company can shut down the servers and whether there are options to run your own server
