      I see starting with nothing and working hard all of his life
      So don’t take it for granted say grandfather’s immigrant eyes

      My grandmothers migrated to the UK in a ship and died after working for the NHS their entire life. But I have no bad thoughts towards the people who built this because I know no one is born with so much hatred. They are raised to have it and I was raised better.

      The most pathetic thing about this is these people feel like brave resistance fighters for “standing up against invaders” (i.e. voting for right wing populists that will ruin their lives but promise to go after refugees)

      The thing I hate about this rhetoric most is that when it actually comes time to help veterans, the parties that promote this suddenly don’t have it in the budget.
