So the “British Broadcasting Corporation” will no longer be that? So that means if its not on UK soil, then they no longer need funding than from the British public.
We all know they will still keep their funding and still keep robbing the public for it.

probably the only way they can operate with the right wing press jumping on everything they do/pay/commission.
they’re not outsourcing the shows so much as creating a firebreak for when murdoch and his pearl clutching goons try to burn down the whole corporation for gregg wallace being an utter knob

I haven’t paid for not watched the BBC in a long time so what they do is up to them. I feel bad for people who do pay for the BBC.
After the way they treated Birmingham since the 2000s, despite Midlanders paying over 30 pc of the entire UK licence fee, by closing down the TV studios, and moving all of the jobs to Salford….yup karma is a b*tch.
You don’t level up by taking all of the jobs from one region and moving them somewhere else because of bigotry held by BBC execs that people in the Midlands were illiterate backwater yokels.
Bad for our economy, but honestly the BBC do not deserve the platform they grandstand from. Such terrible value for money, terrible shows, and an enforcement to pay whether you watch the BBC or not….it’s time to scrap the licence fee anyway

They’re already going, my mates in software at BBC and he’s redundant. He sorted a new job but it’s all part of the same cuts

Remember to pay your TV licence, everyone. (*Eye roll*)

Bectu (trade union) have already expressed that they were not consulted on this, and will be challenging it- since outsourcing to US defeats somewhat the point of an organisation designed to serve (in part by creating jobs for) the UK

The state broadcaster that British taxpayers pay for should not be allowed to outsource jobs.

It’s always better to privatise things just look at how well post office ,trains ,buses , housing ,water ,electric and gas are after privatisation . Without an unnecessary middle man syphoning off the profits to already wealthy people we would be in all sorts of trouble .

That’s why everyone should outsource their license fee to Netflix instead!

Can we nominate who gets the boot then? I’d start with the entire crew and production team of Mrs Brown’s Boys.

The government is literally feeding BBC with money, forcing every person who watches live tv to pay TV tax. And yet, they still can’t survive. I think they need to outsource BBC leadership or just downsize the whole operation completely.
