      In my experience this is only true for a few youth. The others speak whichever of the two languages they are more confident in. Idnthey speak both, they may prefer Ukrainian but switch to Russian freely when its more comfortable.

      I have met a few older Russian-speaking Ukrainians who were openly pro-Russian, but the vast majority of them is as anti-Russian as Ukrainian-speaking Ukrainians. These guys are no threat for the Baltics, they would be the first to take arms to resist a Russian attack on the Baltics I’m sure.

      Offer them local language class, its the right way imho
