Ciao a tutti,

I don’t think, I ever saw those here in Candy stores/aisles.

But if you want soft minty sweets, there are some available in Germany

There is this white/pink minty Candy Pfefferminzbruch and there are Bremer Kluten, which are white with a littlebit of Choclate. It’s soft and minty, they’re basically fondant with mint.

    You might try those.

I’m Canadian. But I know what you mean, we had those too.

You won’t find the exact same thing, but try the Opifera Emder Kissen (pink package). They are pretty close IMO. Wilhelmina mints (Dutch though) are similar. Bremer Kluten are different, more sugary-sticky than ‘powdery’, and bigger, but also satisfying.

In general, mint is a less loved flavour here, that also has a lot of detractors (‘it’s toothpaste’), so it’s not as widespread. You’ll find options though, and ‘after eight’ stuff is common. Mint schnapps are also common, but may be more of a northern thing.

What I miss a lot is wintergreen stuff. I always stock up when I go home, as it’s just not a thing here.

See if you can order from the UK, like an online food store or something, there’s at least a couple of them, I think. We have buttermints here, you can usually find them in bags alongside the usual traditional humbugs, sherbet lemons, mint imperials, etc.

They have them at ReWe, I bought a package a week ago. I will check the brand name when I go shopping again. They are the peppermint after dinner mint variety so white and pick, not the colorful mix like the kind available in the US though.
