The flies are an absolute menace. You kill one or two of them and they just keep coming.

We have a lot of potted lavender outside the windows it seems to keep everything except for the odd bumble bee away and I dont mind the bees.
Before we planted the lavender used to do the old water + apple cider vinegar + honey + soap in a jar with paper cover and a small opening… used to catch so many of the little feckers.
Flyscreens are your friend!
