note that this doesn’t disprove the many instances of sanction evasion we keep hearing in the news

both can be true at the same time

Russia can succesfully manage to circumvent sanctions very often, but its usually at a higher price, less consistency and lower quality

ex: we see it from Russia’s own statistics that the price it paid for chips in 2024 was double that it paid for them in 2022

same goes for sensors, radar components, engines, raw materials and so on

none of that is enough to prevent Russia from expanding its war machine for now, so more should be done

but to claim that it hasn’t had any effect would be to deny the impact sanctions had on Cuban, Iranian, North Korean, Nicaraguan and Syrian industry, army and economy

Iran’s power crisis has gotten so bad this year industrial production might drop by 20% , and that is due to the deterioration of industrial capital and incapability to repair its oil and gas production plants

Just gotta say, it ain’t about the physical damage, it’s the psychological toll and economic strain that rly kicks in.

      Just cut the chord.

Russia can’t be part of the civilized world
