of the 4.2 million grid connected , less than 50,000 are installed on land and the rest on buildings (thoush these 50,000 have almost as much PV capacity as the 4.15 million systems installed on rooftops )
The total number of buildings (residential and non-residential) is around 22 million
**If you divide 4.15/22, this means that 19% of all buildings in Germany have at least one solar installation.**
