I thought these things were supposed to be placed in areas where there are a high number of accidents, where people are complaining about speeding cars, etc.?

This article makes it sound like they put one here because they think they will catch more people. But if the only reason you have is that you detected speeding cars, no extra accidents and no complaints by the local residents over speeding then isn’t that just evidence that the speed limit is wrong?

What a terrible shame! I hope none of the speed cameras near me get vandalised for sure!
