I don’t care what his motives are, just as long as he does it! It could be the Epstein debacle or the Texas floods, but whatever reason just send Ukraine what they need!
I don’t believe for a second he’s into it with Putin, he knows Putin is a straight up murdering thug, and he’s way too much of a chicken shit for that.
My prediction is: at the end of the 50 day deadline Trump imposed Putin, nothing will happen. Trump will once again try to lift sanctions on Russia. Trump will once again try to stop supporting Ukraine. Trump will once again have a phone call with Putin and say he’s a very fine man.
He’s just buying himself more time.. “50 days” vs the usual “2 weeks” so reporters stop asking him so often. He’s over it since he couldn’t get an easy public victory.

We all want to think this is real but until the first shipment of weapons actually arrives I will be cautious. Trump’s policies were always awful but at least in his first term you could rely on him being consistent for a week but now he seems to change his mind from minute to minute.
Send Ukraine everything.

Trump badly needs to distract from other failures in economics, trade and every social policy failure. Promises of future aid to Ukraine without doing anything today, and jerking back and forth in the future, are one way to achieve that distraction. But actually pivoting against Russia? When we see real meaningful Trump authorized aid arriving in Ukraine: meaning billions of dollars of military equipment including several full Patriot systems and refills for NASAMS and Hawk systems, and more Bradleys I will believe it. Until that date it is just more blarney from the Chief Bullshitter.
He doesn’t. He just thinks he can get a lot of money for Patriot systems of low relevance to the US that will have no impact on the war.
He is just buying more time until he chickens out anyway. Duck Tonald Frump.

I don’t know if the 100% tariff on countries buying Russian oil is going to stick, we are talking about China and how dependent Americans are on Chinese goods. I think slow and steady increases are more likely to stick than rushing into it with 100% overnight.
I believe most of us, just want Ukraine to be supported the same way our allies have talked for years about supporting fledgling democracies.
If this is Trump getting a Noble Peace Prize, all be it. Let’s just get it done and kick some serious Russia Orc Ass. Maybe a little N.K. Ass as well if need be.
