      Never understood the continental obsession with WeTransfer instead of any Dropbox-like product for sharing stuff that includes working documents

      Anyone who’s using this could send them
      a friendly letter asking for a copy of all the data they have from them. There are sample letters that you can send and it really takes a few minutes (for you).

      I did that recently with my car’s manufacturer (Subaru), after they had a massive data leak in the US and they were very friendly after I mentioned the alternatives to them answering the request (BTW: they didn’t use the same app as in the US, so they only store very basic data in the EU, so all’s fine)

      Tech tip: you can encrypt zip files so WeTransfer cannot read them.
