Neom will be such a great map for the 2032 newest dystopic shooter.

Everyone with a remaining functioning brain cell knew that this is an utopian or rather dystopian silly vision. Not only with respect to cost.

Yet nothing and nobody will bring back the lives of the thousands/dozens of thousands (often immigrant) workers dead or unaccounted for during the construction work of this and other insane Saudi “megaprojects”.

Still, European, are you ready for your country/your country’s companies to court the Saudi black oil dollars in the next trip where they will crawl on their bellies praying for these monsters and tyrants to buy their products?

Honestly: did anyone really believe they would actually build this thing?

I can’t wait for those Stone Age peasants to lose all their oil money one day.

This must have been such easy money for all involved. The fortunes wasted on absolutely nothing is crazy.

What!! The Saudi are getting cheap help in America now 🙏😂😂🤣😂🙏. What about tariffs?

Put yourself in EDF’s shoes for one moment: those people run nuclear plants, they perfectly knew Neom was an unfeasible idiocy in terms of engineering.

So either it miraculously works, and you’re part of it.

Either it doesn’t, and you reap that sweet contract cancellation money even before you actually had to work on any electricity (much less on nuclear plants)

I wonder if the Line could be counted against the Skyscraper index. And what it mean that it is much much bigger project than any possible examples of this index working correctly.

Good job to whoever fleeced this murderous rich boy and to those who are still taking his money to build his useless toy city. You are doing god and allah’s work.

Wait…just use the word “AI” a hundred times in your resubmission and they’ll take you back. It’s certainly how this project got off the ground in the first place.

This desert city is massive white elephant. Saudi should concentrate on becoming a solar superpower.

what is most sad is they destroyed the lives and livelihoods of the tribes that lived in that region, and it will end up just another hole in the ground half filled with concrete.
