is that not what the dairy industry does to get milk?

Ban adverts of happy looking cows, chickens, lambs and other animals that are being consumed them.
Why does the side causing the harm of animals get to lie in adverts but when you make a startling comparison to humans in that situation it’s banned?
Baby cows are taken from their mothers to steal the mothers milk. That’s the truth.
Fuck dairy farmers and their customers.

I don’t even particularly object to the message, I just wish they didn’t play this ad every time I go to see something rated higher than a 12A at the cinema.
Now, if we could just ban the idiot screwing up his pasta sauce, people spraying their private parts with deodorant and the endless barrage of military recruitment ads that seem to think our armed forces are entirely staffed by women we’d be making progress.

I think everyone should have a good understanding of where their food comes from and the various ethical issues with its production, regardless of their diet. This ad was clearly intended to have shock factor, but hopefully it will cause some people to reflect on the source of their food.

For example, according to [a 2025 YouGuv survey](https://plantbasednews.org/animals/brits-unaware-cows-impregnated-milk/), half of Brits are unaware that cows need to be annually impregnated in order to lactate milk. Also, the selective breeding, the artifcial insemination, whappens to male calves, female calves, or the cows themselves once they are considered ‘spent’ and no longer profitable for milk production.
How can a population consume so much of a product while remaining blissfully unaware of the industry’s practices?

I know its to show the impact of calving but here in Ireland sadly it didn’t just happen in adverts. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-54693159
( this is the reason I hoped out of the Catholic Church here )

I’m sick and tired of all the misanthropic vegans trying (and failing) to use shocking or disturbing imagery to change my mind and convince me that animals feel just as much emotion and think the same as humans, I never will.
For all the vegans in this post’s comments, it doesn’t matter how many times you say “FUCK FARMERS” or some other vulgar catchphrase. We live in a free country, and I will always eat meat simply because I want to, and no amount of childish whining will *ever* change that.

**These adverts are essential to shatter the cognitive dissonance that [conceals widespread animal abuse](https://eatfair.org/united-kingdom/animals#cattle).**
