      The European Union is looking at targeting €72 billion in US goods in a second round of trade countermeasures, including aircraft, cars and car parts.

      Also EU Trade representative says EU should accelerate the preparation of credible countermeasures, mobilising all available instruments, including the anti-coercion mechanism, if no trade agreement is reached with the US by August 1.

      The only winners in the tariff war is the rich who will benefit from market manipulation and get even richer. The small businesses and the general public are the only victims. Unfortunately our elected leaders fall on the first category.

      I wonder what cars they mean? Perhaps Ford and Tesla, and one of them is dropping customers rapidly anyway. Ford has a good commercial fleet position mainly with the Transit van but on the passenger car front they have scaled back models to only a few EVs mostly. Maybe they sell car parts to Europe?

      tarrifs on everything from the tech giants. Would help in transition to EU alternatives.
