What a thoroughly useless article. Acid attacks are reported to be up, yet they spend their time talking about ammonia. 2/3s of the victims are men, which apparently means that women are on the rise as victims of the attacks, but no other data is provided. London used to be bad but we don’t know what changed

      > Of the attacks where gender data was recorded, a third were female – reflecting the rising use of acid as a weapon of violence against women.

Bizarre thing to write, sounds like the author thinks it is a worse crime when done to a woman.

For those who didn’t read, it’s referencing a massive use amongst those partaking in “gang activity”

When an article’s headline sounds like what will be on the Manchester Evening news, I just scroll past it.

I know it’s not acid but I always wonder why I can literally go into Tesco and buy 5 bottles of bleach and no one bats an eyelid. But I want 1 redbull and I need approval
