      These three kids have fucked up lives and the state can’t take care of them.

      The term ‘exchanging sex for money’ is very problematic in respect of a child. She is a victim of sexual exploitation.

      I wouldn’t mind but even the level of care some of the children do get it they had a place is scandalous. Tulsa pay private companies outrageous money to house the children, these set ups are unregulated. There were cases of kids having to sleep on mattresses. Two companies were dropped after an audit found they were making up their own Garda vetting for staff. Then there was a case where one of the private companies were asking Tulsa to take a migrant girl into one of their own facilities as she was being targeted by groomers in their residence. Tulsa did nothing about it and the company had to organise themselves for the girl to go somewhere else to get away from the people trying to groom her.

      Not providing the care these kids need is going to create some very fucked up adults in the future for the government to not deal with again.

      “Secure” beds are juvenile detention centres. The ‘care’ system is fucked and does more damage than good.

      This is very common in low income areas. I think most people in this country are very naiive to the reality faced by the people they call dole monkeys

      A child is being fucking raped why do they word it like this? Same as when a sexual assault happens to a minor.

      Journalism is in a death spiral in this country.
