    1. > It cut the price of its cheapest model, the To3 small electric car, by £1,500, making it the most affordable EV on the UK market, below the Dacia Spring, which is also built in China and sells for £14,999.

Just wondering about EV consolidation. Many EV companies today will be very different in the next 5 to 10 years. Won’t buying cheap electric cars run into issues when companies go bust or cease to exist? They have software that can’t be updated, cars run into issues which may be problematic than normal ICE? Most cars have many custom parts but digital cars may have more locked down features than a standard car

Good, more cheaper smaller electric cars are what we need as a country if we are going to transition away from fossil fuels, the market can’t just exist at £30k+ saloons and SUVs

Not the brightest idea to allow Chinese state subsided (and possibly partially state owned) manufacturers to undercut the little that’s left of the UK car manufacturing. We might be sleepwalking into a Huawei situation all over again.

China playing the long game, sell at a loss or at cost with the aim of shutting down the competition.

The size of cars has really got away from us. A big car in the 90s v a small car today are crazy close. Our roads have barely changed in width
