      **If Hamas was to end in Gaza, Israel would have to create another one.** Heck, had the last militant and the hostage died in the last weeks airstrikes, Israel wouldnt have told us about it.

      Dont forget, Israel helped Hamas replace PLO. PLO also conducted armed acts but they found more sympathy and resonance in Europe and universities in the west especially among leftist circles because they were willing for a diplomatic solution, they were also secular socialists. So Israel promoted Hamas, a boogeyman that completely alienated the former sympathies and also put an end for any hopes to a diplomatic solution. Every society has radical elements in it and obviously one within an ethnic land conflict like Palestinians obviously had more but without Israeli interference Hamas wouldnt have been able to become the figurehead of the Palestinian resistance struggle.

      Never forget, the only condition that Israel exists is neither through a one state solution or two state solution. It was through whatever we had up until today. Manageable unstability, an undefined occupation zone, an apartheid regime.

      I’m hoping he will speak up for the fact that there is extreme levels of persecution throughout the islamic world against Christians, that Christians are being massacred by sunni jihadists affiliated with ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Syria, who’s only hope of defense is if Israel helps protect them. One church in the warzone of gaza gets damaged, one church in the now peace-seeking, tolerant Syria has a suicide bomber walk inside, gun down a bunch of Christians and then set off his explosive vest. Which one gets the biggest coverage?
