Shocked lol, EU comissioner is shocked. If EU comissioner is shocked, then IDK what is he doing and what should I feel as a consumer.

      > “McGrath said it “remains to be seen” if the subject will be raised at an EU-China summit in Beijing on 25 July but he plans to address it directly himself.”

      Oh. But he’s shocked. Fine.

      > “A Temu spokesperson said: “Temu takes product safety and compliance very seriously. We have a system of seller vetting, proactive monitoring and responsive takedowns to prevent, detect and remove unsafe products.”

Why is this treated as so hard to police?  Why can’t harsh penalties be levied against those sellers or distributors rhat provide the dangerous goods?  They are ultimately just shopfronts, what makes them special or different than any other?
