A man has been arrested for holding a sign “Genocide in Palestine, time to take action”.
A woman has her name and address taken down for waving a Palestinian flag and holding a sign that calls Israel’s action in Gaza a genocide.
Two Palestine campaign groups have their bank accounts frozen, one of them because of a donation link to Palestine Action BEFORE the proscription order came in, the other doesn’t have a reason provided.
Dozens of people have been arrested weekly for holding the sign “I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action”. By my estimate at least 200 arrests have been made for this reason.
If anyone thinks this ends with pro-Palestine group, they are delusional. The state will come after JSO, Youth Demand, Extinction Rebellion next, then when Reform comes in, they’ll come after Stand Up Against Racism, Unite Against Fascism, and of course the unions for taking strike actions.

What right to protest?
The catchment areas of the laws is getting wider and wider to suppress protest into more and more things.
Palestinian Action was banned, now that ban is being applied retrospectively to Charity bank accounts – and terrorism laws are being widely applied to anything with those two words in them.
The right to protest on the street has been stripped away to “avoid causing an inconvenience to others”.
The list goes on.
If it had been this way at the time of the Suffragettes, women still wouldn’t have the vote or any real rights in this country.

Ah yes Eddie Dempsey who supports Putin and has been pictured with Russian separatists inside Ukraine. Bit of a hypocrite considering what happens to people who are against Putin
Really gets my goat how many Trade Unionists are also like this

Ohhhhh suddenly they care about it when left wing protests are banned, gotcha.
You lot were silent when anti abortion protests were effectively banned.
Suddenly you care? Made your bed now lay in it.

In 2016 national action was banned and later former members where given decade long sentences for going the gym and wetherspoons together.
The left cheered it on but the same arbitrary laws have come around for their turn and they dont like it.

they came for the oil protestors, but i said nothing cause i love oil
they came for the middle east action protestors, but i said nothing cause i dont get it all
then they came for the unions – but there was no-one else to stand up for them cause the unions are useless and don’t do anything for anyone any more, any way!

Imagine coming home to your family, shaking nin fear as you tell them about the brutal terror attack you survived. They ask, “My god, what happened? Are you OK?”
“Someone threw paint at my plane!”
Does that sound like a normal person’s understanding of what the word ‘Terrorism’ means?
We’ve been conditioned for 20 years, slowly changing our understanding from ‘suicide bombing/mass casualty attack’ to ‘inconvenience to the state’. We never should have let them have an inch when it came to justifying removing our liberties.
How many ‘temporary measures for security’ rolled back in the name of freedom?

What I find insane is that surely these authoritarian measures by Labour would be an open goal for opposing parties? If I was the Lib Dems or even The Tories, I would be all over this and saying ***”Keir Starmer and Labour are no different to any authoritarian regime, they don’t want you to criticise them and they will arrest you for expressing your democratic rights, if they happen to disagree with it.”***
