Aint no way they had fear of Ukranian protests just because the conductor is Russian, he only had to make the orchestra play not to speak.
This is crazy but I am partially happy that Italy is the only european country that allowed the concert in first place. The EU wants to de-humanize the enemy which is the creation of a fertile soil for repression and war, I dont want that.
OK, an outspoken war Putin supporter has been reprimanded.
But while this is happening what is happening the apparatus which allowed Putin to do what he’s doing?
NATO are pushing at the will of the USA to increase spending and calling him daddy for the benefit of doing so. Nothing wrong in increased spending but it’s being done with US arms mainly at the behest of the US and to the terms of their new fascist government. Won’t be long before that isn’t just weapons.

We are just setting ourselves up to begin cancel culture against the next Putin down the line. This doesn’t help Ukraine materially and the fact that Europe’s approach has been to continue their current path instead of shifting away from the world order that exactly allowed Putin to do what he has done is very disheartening. But hey, some conducter won’t wave his stick for 2 hours in Italy.
Concert should be in Moscow.
Why is he allowed in our countries ? Why are any of them ?
And deport him to his beloved putinland.
