Good.
Apple refused the FBI’s demand to unlock an iPhone in a 2015 San Bernardino Islamic mass murder case, where terrorists killed 14 innocent people.
Doubt they’re going to do it for the UK.
Yet this will probably be met here with “USA bad, they enemy” comments.
Encryption with a back door is simply a huge permanent security risk for your data. It’s a terrible idea.

Im against this but how is USA’s business what the UK does with their people’s data?
Good that this stupid idea had been abandoned. Bad that UK government could not figure it out by itself (and yes, I am aware of constant attempt to push something similar in EU) and in the end showed that Apple and US govt calls the shots.
What a joke, the US should learn to butt out and the UK should grow a pair.

As FISA and the CLOUD act are compulsory even for Apple we may never know if there is a backdoor to the Apple cloud. Or someone blows the whistle.
