These degenerates think they can do whatever they want, during the war. Now there is a huge question in Ukraine, about the causes they fight, and is it really worth it, when the corrupt deputies dismantle with happy faces the very thing Euromaidan started.
The most atrocious thing is EU instead of condemnation and threats, is just displaying the concerns. Wtf is this?

I think it’s inarguable that Zelensky has clearly used this war to consolidate power in a significant way. National emergencies are always the best time to grab power. The question is how far will this go, and how much of this consolidation will remain post-war. If Ukraine’s corruption and autocracy levels approach Russia’s (as it has done before), what use was the war?

To be precise this is not “anti-Zelensky protest” but insisting demand to veto the law was approved by parliament.

The title does not really reflect the body of the article. It would be an anti-Zelensky protest if they asked for him to go away. Instead, they are asking him to veto the “parliament backed a controversial bill limiting the power of anti-corruption agencies”.
According to the article, “no senior government figure had publicly defended the law”. What I don’t understand is that it appears that the problematic parts comes from some amendments:
> “After the amendments that the committee added to this bill today, contrary to the rules, the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office becomes a fiction for budget funds.”
Which committee is this ? Is it part of the Rada ?

Some context:
Zelensky’s party (People’s Servants) with bunch of other delegates accepted law that basically would make NABU (Anti-Corruption Agency of Ukraine made per EU and IMF request; rather ineffective, but exist…ed?) to obey with Prosecutor-General orders, who’s appointed by President. Before they were independent from the government, acting in their own field.
President is yet to sign it tho.
Before it, NABU and government got into clash, as NABU opened cases against many officials, partly including Zelensky himself (one of the inspected cases PROBABLY was tied to him; so ‘partly’) and SBU started to arrest some of the NABU servicemen, stating that they’re spies. It isn’t known if they actually were or not yet.
It isn’t first time of them interfering with Zelensky’s appointees, eg Knyzev, former Head of Supreme Court of Ukraine, appointed by Zelensky, was arrested after their case. But Ukraine judicial system is messy, so he’s still under investigation (but under personal commitment and fired from his status).
Edit: it’s also not just Kyiv, but also Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro and presumably in other cities on the lesser levels.

On the one hand, this sub loves all sorts of protests against evil.
On the other hand — glorify Zelensky.
Where will the pendulum of european democracy swing now: Zelensky will disperse the crowd initiated by the russians or the crowd will overthrow the scoundrel appointed by the russians? Wait with bated breath.

I prey to be wrong about this. But I can’t stop thinking about this.
You may think, why would Zelenskyy make such an obviously unpopular law into existence, especially in this time. Obviously the whole country will go to protest this. I fear that’s exactly what he wants. Making a false flag attack on protesters to provoke europe into active moves against russia in this war is what I fear might be the play here.
Please, tell me I’m wrong.

The title of the article is actually “Anti-government protests break out in Kyiv”, OP (pro-Russian) changed it on purpose to turn people against Zelensky specifically.
