Yes. It’s a tactic used when there are planned protests and counter protests. One group is escorted to one area away from the other group to stop people clashing in the streets when tempers run hot.
Regardless of the political opinions or leanings of the groups or even the officers themselves they have a duty to everyone in society, even when they disagree with one another. This is one of the ways police can achieve that without infringing people’s human rights.
This is not supporting or being anti anything.
Pure treason by UK police.
Who is protesting in favor of more migrants?
I mean it’s normal to protect differing groups especially to give a police escort, see football fans.
However, yeah, these lot, just rich white people from leafy suburbs who like to virtue signal despite being the biggest beneficiaries of the systems in place.
Is this really a good enough source to post here? The Telegraph is a right-wing tabloid so I wouldn’t believe it, especially when it comes to migrants.
I mean, look at how the loaded language it uses in the title (“pro-migrant protesters”) already prompted a few comments to ask who is protesting for migrants and why. So, already more than a few readers were misled into thinking these were pro-migrant protesters, when in fact they were protesting violence committed by the far-right against migrants.
