For them, fascists are all those who love their country and do not want to see them there.
Might have to do with Finland and Germany working together against Russia. This would have been the position Russian thinking at the time.
It’s continuation war stuff. Russians often
tend to mix everyone participating on the other side together, it’s not unusual.
I’ve googled the dude, he didn’t participate in winter war, had been conscripted into NKVD in 40 and after “great patriotic war” started had been serving on a medical orderly position. He died at 20.

Finns were on the side of Germany in WW2.
We invaded Soviet Union with Germany, so this is why “finnish fascists”.
Somehow we just always forget and deny this in Finland.
