      Second day of protests, I wonder how many days it will continue. I’m sure many Ukrainians have pent up tension from all the horror they are experiencing, and this is a way to let it out. I hope they don’t turn sour.

      There were talks that the EU commission was planning to open all six negotiation clusters for Ukraines bid on membership by the end of the year. Apparantly they actually planned to ignore Orbans veto on that and proceed regardless. If that is true all the talks about “no shortcuts” were flat out lies and the moment they signaled that to Zelensky we got this stunt from him.

      Independence of state bodies is also an opportunity for Russia to create friction and fracture in the state. Question is how do you protect the state bodies from being infiltrated by Putin while maintaining their independence ? Independence becomes not only meaningless but dangerous as soon as one of the regulatory bodies is infected with Russian spies. Tough job for Zelensky.
