Yeah, nuclear energy would be so much easier to turn off and on again…..
Just gonna leave this here. Australia faced many blackouts, and it was technology part of a renewable grid which brought that to a stop.

Nuclear lobby again…. they try everything to get the tax payer money to build nuclear power plants, which are not economic in any way without the money from us. It’s a shame.

What caused the blackouts? A lack of energy being produced?

For the people that don’t understand, many Spaniards learned that nuclear has higher stability to tension and demand changes, and that solar specifically can’t handle those crisis that well because they don’t synchronize dynamically. That meant that when the demand of energy spiked, solar couldn’t handle the new stress in frequency, and the lack of ‘stable’ energy sources in the grid such as nuclear made the whole system go haywire.

Nuclear is the way to go, just because you fell for the anti-nuclear propaganda, shouldn’t mean that others should follow your bad example.
Just take the L and support others in not making the same mistake you guys did.

Also nukes need lots of water, not something pleantiful in Spain. Nukes make sense up norther in winter, not so much when the heat sets in.
You need nearby solar if you want to teh AC required to survive these climate change driven heatwaves.
The power of propaganda.
Nuclear wouldn’t have changed anything about the blackout.
