      Always found it odd that they were able to outlast Topshop et al. Their stores are all quite old and tired and stuff was always very overpriced for what it is.

      Wasn’t the CEO saying they were closing the store on Henry Street, and the issue was the street and government? It seems like he should have pointed the finger at himself

      Had look there on their site as I often pass one but never been in. Looks to be very similar in terms of age and style for mens stuff as Penneys but way more expensive.

      I got a *really* good pair of boots there about 14 years ago. I still have them somewhere, should dig ‘em out.

      That is the entirety of my knowledge of River Island.

      It’s been overpriced tat for years so this is hardly surprising. When there’s so much competition you have to up your game and they didn’t.

      I find the jeans decent enough for 40 or 50 quid. Its not a terrible shop for men but probably because there is no good shops for men.
